I hadn’t, initially, a good experience with Sixt when I picked up the car from Marco Polo airport but then later when I emailed them about my experience, they really reacted professionally with my concerns. However, this branch in Mestre is a bit hard to get. So, when you arrive to it by Google, you have to get out of your car and look around to find it because it is really a hidden branch :)

Parking for returns are not obvious at all, there are no signs untill you arrive on the 5th floor. The office is also closed unless otherwise requested so there is no one to guide you to where you should go. This was just the final straw in a otherwise not great experience with renting at Sixt

Lady at the counter didn’t want to rent the car to me - said my name on the card needed to be full and not shortened . After one hour her colleague had no problem renting the car. I’m a Sixt Gold customer. Very very unhappy with this location

The address on the reservation email is an abandoned building. Took us a long time to find the temporary office as there was no signage. Reservation asst was very nice and stood outside waving her arms until we found her. Car is fine.

Very in efficient staff and company. You will never get the class of the car you booked and get lower one and no refund. I asked for an estate with automatic and got a compact golf with manual transmission and no other car available... With no other choice, I drove that car with bags stuffed between my kids and in front from stuttgart to venice... Only to find out how difficult it was to locate the rental return next to the Mestre station... No signs anywhere and no staff to help.... Utter waste of time. Never use this company ever

Extremely thankful & impressed with Sixt at the Venezia Mestre Station. I must add that Alberto was very helpful with assisting my grandmother and I. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of, as well as, also reaching out to let us know we forgot a driver license. Because of him, I will use Sixt for all my future bookings. Well done Sixt! Great team in Venice and thank you for everything!

We didn't have a credit card in our name (only debit) but the staff made adjustments so they accepted the debit card and charged the entire amount at pick-up. We reserved online a Citroen C1 but they didn't have one, so we got a BMW Series 1, which was a very nice upgrade. The car was clean, some scratches on the wheels, diesel/adblue, economical, powerful and a lot of tech (GPS and a fancy self-updating cruise control). Italian roads have a lot of weird speed limits and radars everywhere. We delivered the car after hours at their nearby parking-lot and they requested we leave the parking ticket inside the car to check the "check-in" time. They wrongly charged "late check-in" because they mistakenly got the "check-in" time the next day at 10AM, and we delivered within agreed time, 11PM the day before. We complained and they returned the money quickly even without "evidence" besides the ticket they had inside their car. I advise to take a picture of the ticket to serve as proof if anything goes wrong. It was a good experience.
