★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Discovered by father Athanasius Kircher in the 1660s this shrine could be a dreamlike place for contemplation. Alas, weddings and kitsch diminish the potential soul enriching possibilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great surrounding for trekking with magnificient view from some peaks of moderate mountains with grass meadows and herds of cattle and horses.
The shrine worth a stop for a prayer.
I was impressed with modest little cemetary of monks and priests that served there from the beginning of 20th century, some of them were Polish. JPIl liked the place and used to come there.
