Intorno agli inizi del '900 gli affreschi rischiarono di essere rimossi e venduti.

Inside the small church adjacent to the Hospital of Tivoli there is an important cycle of frescoes initially attributed to Pinturicchio and Perugino, later to Antoniazzo Romano and Melozzo da Forlì. Around the beginning of the 1900s, the frescoes risked being removed and sold.
