I went here while living in Firenze a few years ago. delicious food which was worth the line. Very authentic Tuscan panino, but Im gonna be honest it was a bit much for me. Definitely because I’m a wimpy straniero, the food was delicious while I had the motivation for it. Want to try it again some day.

Delicious tripe in tomato sauce unique to Florence. Have it as a stew with bread on the side or as a sandwich. They add green sauce, but if you like spicy ask for red sauce. Enjoy with a glass of local red wine.

It’s local, it’s fast and it’s healthy. This is what fast food is supposed to be. Can’t miss the panino Lampredotto, a combination of four stomach parts and potatoes all wrapped in Italian bread, quick and easy to to eat on the steps of a nearby church. They have also drinks like water, wine and coke.

Tried this and another reputedly best vendor of lampredotto over at the San Lorenzo market. And this place wins, hands down. The lampredotto at Sergio Pollini is just a bit more fatty and savory; the bread a little more perfectly crumbling but chewy. Just world class street food, anyway you taste it!

A decent sandwich with lampredotto, the abomasum is not greasy and finely chopped. You can have it in a bread roll or as it is, served with salsa verde and peperoncino. Good tripes but it lacks salt and pepper, and maybe more herbs when they cook it in the broth. The bun wasn't the greatest one either. There is probably better but it was still satisfying.

Fantastic lampredotto sandwich. Note that the menu generally consists of only the lampredotto (sandwich or by the kg) and tripe (served with sauce in a dish with bread for dipping).
