★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited Gran Sasso 5 separate times through 20 years and every time Parti Di Tivo Resort has been a great experience. With that being said, the resort is currently without an owner and most of the resort's facilities including the gondolas are not open. If you were hoping for the easy way up to Gran Sasso, you will be disappointed. However, if you are physically capable, I highly recommend walking one of the many trails up Gran Sasso, just download all trails and you can see all the different trail heads which are clearly marked through the trails. The forest is stunning and worth the effort!

In the summer the main chairlift is kept in operation till 5pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice starting point for hikes in summer. Lots of free parking spots, some okay-is accommodation... Just some bad party music in the later afternoon which you even hear on top of the mountain...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a place to visit, at least once in your life! At the top of the mountain you can see the Adriatic Sea and all the territory extended below!
A very breathless spot: good for hiking, climbing, and all the kind of sports in snow!
Everything is concentrated in one square with restaurants, bars, hotels, ski and snowboard rent shops and everything you need for you day/journey at the most famous "Gran Sasso"! ?️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful because it seems that no paths go up the mountain. Follow the directions (in Maps) to the rifugio Carlo Francesca and you have a steep, demanding and VERY rewarding climb wit magnificent views.
