★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cinque stelle per il posto davvero meraviglioso e suggestivo con la immensa croce e gli spettacolari panorami che si aprono sia sulle vette che verso la valle.
Una Stella come sempre per la segnaletica!!!
Lasciando la macchina allo slargo della rimessa del gregge si arriva facilmente alla croce ma da lì poi è davvero difficile individuare il sentiero che porta a Cima Alta e alla Madonnina. Bisogna tornare indietro all'inizio del promontorio ed imboccare il sentiero che gira DIETRO di esso e quindi non visibile più dalla croce. Molto facile sbagliare e cercare di risalirlo andando dritto dallo stesso lato della croce.

Leaving the car at the clearing of the flock shed you can easily reach the cross but from there it is really difficult to identify the path that leads to Cima Alta and the Madonnina. You have to go back to the beginning of the promontory and take the path that turns BEHIND it and therefore no longer visible from the cross. Very easy to make a mistake and try to climb it by going straight on the same side of the cross.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupendo. Una delle tante meraviglie dell'Abruzzo. Si raggiunge facilmente partendo dal piazzale dei Prati di Tivo percorrendo la strada che inizia accanto all'Hotel Gran Sasso. Tragitto in salita fino a raggiungere circa 1700 m., in prossimità di una grande croce da dove si ha il piacere di ammirare uno straordinario panorama sul Paretone, il Corno Piccolo e la Valle Siciliana. Relax assoluto.
Stupendous. One of the many wonders of Abruzzo. It can be easily reached starting from the piazzale dei Prati di Tivo along the road that starts next to the Hotel Gran Sasso.
