Ad accoglierci persone molto preparate .Esperienza positiva. Discovered by chance, a beautiful quiet church. Al suo interno si può ammirare l'organo del XVIII secolo. Il dipinto della Madonna, del XIX secolo, è del pittore Giuseppe Zacca, che riprende una raffigurazione bizantina di Maria Vergine custodita nel Duomo di Messina e che andò perduta. Il pittore vi aggiunse la Lettera della Madonna ai Messinesi. Da visitare l'interessante Cripta con i Colatoi utilizzati per asciugare le salme prima di essere accatastate. La chiesetta pur se piccola è circondata da affreschi molto antichi che lasciano incantati coloro che li osservano ...assolutamente da visitare. Esternamente sembra un po' trascurata, forse anche perché la salsedine del vicinissimo mare la fa degradare velocemente. Se in futuro avrò nuovamente la possibilità di passare mi piacerebbe vederla anche internamente visto che è un santuario... saranno custodite opere d'arte e reliquie.
