Santo Spirito In Sassia Hospital

Sprained my ankle quite badly and came to the ER. In only 90min I had two consultations, an X-ray done and got a bandage. everything for FREE without any documentation needed except an ID. Really great experience, all countries should provide this kind of healthcare, thanks a lot!

Find a different hospital! Spent 8 hours in ER before being seen. Lots of tests done, but there was zero treatment given in 3 days although seen by 5 doctors. Both ER bathrooms were closed for over 24 hours. Lack of respect for both the living and the dead. Nurses were downright surly. Sub-standard care on all counts (except one person at ER Admittance who seemed to care). I wish I could give negative stars: they don't even deserve the one I listed. Run, don't walk, away from this place.

Came to the ER with an injury requiring a treatment at 10:45PM and by 4:00PM still haven’t seen a Doctor and there were four people ahead of us so we left. Also, people smoked all the time in the hallway making us passively smoking and the hygiene of the place is horrible: there is no soap in the bathroom and the floor is dirty

Went into Emergency after a fall on the streets, thoroughly impressed with the service received. Everything done within an hour, including X-rays and a report from the ER Doctor. Inspite of us not speaking any Italian, all the staff were very pleasant and helpful and tried their best to understand us. Thank you very much.

I might update it again if they improve. The receptionist at ambulatorio where the gynaecologst is is very rude. As I was going out maybe she thought I don't understand Italian she was talking about me and the people there were laughing. I really felt horrible yesterday. The best department since I started visiting is the where you do blood test. Very kind people. I went for visit yesterday,:they were so rude. They said they felt my baby's hear eat buh honestly I didn't hear anythg buh I just couldn't wait to get dressed bcos of the nurse's face and her mode of behaviour. Gosh. This is why I am not comfy with a female gynae;some or most of them attimes make you feel horrible. I was about to ask questions on my baby the next I heard was wait wait wait wait and l couldn't again. I know they are working extra time buh I think been a medical doctor is a sacrifice and a passion.Anyways I miss d male gynae that has been sooo kind, he trys to make me feel at comfy when he talks and explain to me. Yesterday I was full of doubts. The female gynae said she wasn't going to gimme appointment bcos the staffs have alot of thgs doing. And I have 5 weeks to put to bed. I think I am going to change hospital;I don't think I can continue with people like this. How will it be if I am in labour with these set of nurses and doctors? Before now a blond doctor in the scan department made gest of my surname, she wasn't joking at all. t's crazy. Though I will miss Dottor Paolo Gastaldi. He is so kind, a professional indeed. He deserves an accolade and thousands stars. People becareful.

My wife has spent several days at the hospital. While some things can be improved, all the staff has been extremely kind and professional. Thanks a lot and keep up with the good work. To be improved is to see people being treated in the corridors, for days. A country like Italy should not allow these situations.

My wife fell and broke her ankle at the Vatican on 26.4.2022, although the COVID rules restricted my access to her and communication was poor from the hospital, she was treated and operated, within 48 we could return home and seek further medical attention in South Africa. The ER was not great according to my wife but once she got into the ward and operating theatre she was treated exceptionally well by nurses and doctors. Thank you to all hospital staff for helping us through this traumatic time. Special thanks to the Security guy at gate who helped me charge my cell and the gentleman nurses or porters who made it possible for me to see my wife at 11pm after the operation.
