Recommended! Good home-made Italian food in friendly atmosphere! We ate there three times during our stay in Rome so obviously it is worth a visit. Located in Testaccio and visited by mostly locals. If you want to sit inside you need to make a reservation (in Italian - google it). Menu in Italian and staff speaks very poor English but somehow it works anyway. Bring Covid Green Pass (EU proof of vaccination) to be able to sit inside.

We tried the artichokes: fried Jewish style, Roman style in olive oil, butter and lemon and in pasta. All good. The soup of the day was a delicious fish soup. My husband had a delightful cannelloni with a creamy white and red sauce to die for. Very authentic Roman lunch. With house wine, of course. :)

This place has some really good food, the pasta carbonera was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. The lambrusco wine and beer was also good. Prices are not cheap but still reasonable from an EU standard but you can definitely find cheaper pasta places in the city. If your in the area stop by, staff are nice and they have clean bathrooms a cute ambiance!

Nice place to eat the traditional Roman cuisine. The hot appetizers are strongly suggested along with the seasonal first course made with artichokes and of course you cannot miss the Pajata meat also put on top of a delicious tomato sauce rigatoni pasta. The side dishes and a shared round of second course such as Coda alla Vaccinara and Trippa complete the Roman style meal. The desserts menu is very rich and will surely attract adults and kids. Strongly recommended the reservation due to the small dining rooms distributed on three levels. Enjoy!!!

This is really worth a visit if you are looking for authentic Roman cuisine. The food is excellent and fairly priced. Great selection of Italian wines, good location and friendly staff make it one of my favourite restaurants in Rome.

Had a wonderful dinner yesterday bringing to this nice restaurant some Asian friends, in Rome for a short time visit. Nice atmosphere, great service and genuinely local Roman food. You can definitely tell that they use quality ingredients and dishes are well prepared. If available wild mushrooms pasta is great, and of course pagliata and coda alla vaccinara for lovers of Roman dishes are a must. Worth a visit if you’re in Rome and Testaccio

A fantastic little neighborhood spot, doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let the exterior deceive you - this family-run trattoria is one of the best in the area. Reasonably priced and generously portioned, with friendly service and a casual atmosphere, everything we ate was delicious - Jewish-style artichoke was perfectly crisp and so was the puntarelle salad. The penne was a bowl of comfort and the lamb was falling off the bone. And the zabaione cake was moist perfection. Can’t wait to come back for more!
