C	Chung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was strangely quiet during lunch time (we were the ONLY guests for at least 1 hour), perhaps because it was a Wednesday. That should have given us the undivided attention of the waiters, but still most of the time they stood at the door looking outside, in anticipation of guests who never arrived. The food itself was decent, and prices were similarly mid-range. We had the Spaghetti alla carbonara and Pajata in umido (portions were much smaller than pictured in the menu though).

We then had saltimbocca, cacio e Pepe pasta and rigatoni al ragu which was all delicious. The kids then had apple cake and semifreddo and the adults had mixed cheeses. Top of the bill of fare was the service which was out of the top drawer. Thank you team.

Just one word to describe the experience: ‘delicious’!!! My memories were not wrong and will come back here forever! Rigatoni con Pajata and Animelle arrosto above all!

Unfortunately the host us not so nuce and once we wanted to take home what we could eat it was a pity. we finally had to ask for a doggy bag to the restaurant next door. To expensive to be threatened in such a bad way despite the nice place. We won’t recommend it in future and never go back again!!!

B	Bálint Tóth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're a tourist, you don't turn up here by accident. Checchino's specialty is offal, and they are fantastic at it. My starter was cold calf's feet salad with beans, carrots and celery, their crunchiness paired well with the gelatinous meat. The primi was their famous rigatoni con pajata, which came exactly as advertised, the curdy intestine was my first time, but became an instant favorite. The trippa was very well done and paired fantastically with the chicory and the Chianti. Altogether this was excellent and a must-go for any offal lover visiting Rome. And do go, because the area is visibly harder hit by the relative absence of tourists than the more central parts of the city.
