H	HHab on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant / bar that doesn't portray much form the outside, but the seating was very charming, alongside a vintage decor, perfect for having drinks in the summer on its huge terasse, and for meals in its glass covered veranda !! the whole in a an ancient building, just beneath the Monte dei Cocci (a hill made of fragments of pottery dating to the ancien Roman era, fascinating to visit!) The Mozzarella di Buffala we had for starters was exquisite (on toasted trash bread with a drizzle of olive oil, dried tomatoes, basil) The carbonara was by far the best I've ever had, super delicious (crunchy pancetta, fantastic al dente pasta!!) The cacio e pépé was very good also (despite it no being the best I tried!), and the salmon salad was amazingly fresh, with a distinct powerful taste that you seldom encounter in other commercial restaurants! For desert, we had the tartufo di Pizzo (type of ice cream) was FABULOUS with its melted dark chocolate center adding flavour to the pistachio ice cream containing it!! would definitely recommend you trying this joint!

It was worth everything to discover the Francis Cappolo’s Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa valley ( see photo). The entree plate we ordered ( to be shared by two) lacked taste. But the pasta dishes, one with seafood and other with black tartufo, were absolutely delicious. Services was friendly. It averages 50 euro per person with wine.

By reading the reviews I thought that portions would have been small but that's not the case. Share antipasti with your friends and enjoy a main course. Drink a good shiraz wine and end up with a nice dessert. You will spend around 30/40 euros but well worth it. The atmosphere is lovely and warm and a special mention to the staff that was kind, helpful and welcoming. I would go back!

But after the two mixed starters we were almost full, the ravioli as a first main course was small and invested to try more dishes, but not with the starters. All and all, the restaurant is great, great taste and selection of wines. Perfect sizes of portions, and nice with the mixed plats enabling trying more (as a couple). The service was okay, the waiters focused on the natives but we got the attentions we needed if we poked them. Definitely recommending it.
