β β β β β By far the best restaurant we have visited during our 8 day trip to Italy!!! Very good food at reasonable prices. My tip for "Dolci" (Dessert): Ask them if they have the pistachio tart, it is just delicious!!

β β β β β I went for lunch at La Tavernaccia visited April 2019. Excellent, traditional Italian restaurant with high quality food. Very friendly service and comfortable place.
I had the burrata appetizer, white wine and pasta con cinghiale.
For dessert I had the fresh lemon cake and an espresso as seen in the photo.
I went back a few days later for dinner (April 2019) and the woman working the counter (I believe the owner) was so kind, hospitable and gracious to me as I was travelling alone. I made a reservation earlier that day for a table for one and my table was waiting for me at about 8:30pm (20h30). For dinner, I had the baked eggplant and red wine. The eggplant was so tender with fresh sauce and high quality cheese, it was delicious with fresh bread on the table.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in the area and would bring friends and family here in the near future.

β β β β β Highly recommended - great food and service! We took a chance and arrived right as they opened for dinner and even though they seemed to be fully booked, were nice enough to seat us. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, and all of our food was great - burrata to start, pasta with wild boar, and pizza funghi with the house red wine. For dessert we chose lemon tiramisu which was surprisingly good!

β β β β β Hidden gem in a non touristy area of Trastevere. Recommended by an Italian wine shop owner. Delicious food! Especially the griccia pasta. Beautiful stone interior. Great selection of wines. You can choose between organic, conventional and natural. Fantastic service and best part-- only Italians we're there for lunch!

β β β β β Very delicious. One of my favorite meals in Italy. Pleasant experience and hit the exact spot we needed for a dinner night out.
We got the following:
pasta with pig cheek - incredibly delicious, if a bit salty.
Grilled beef steak - a bit over cooked (maybe an Italian thing tbh) but the fatty part made it still so delicious.
Eggplant Parmesan - also very good.
Pistachio cheesecake - very good.
Ricotta cheesecake - very good.

β β β β β Probably one of the most authentic Roman restaurants we visited during our stay. Most of the diners in this restaurant were Italian and some were greeted by the chef himself. We had a delicious meal of gnocchi (it was Thursday) and oxtail stew. AliΔe explained us about the dishes and gave us excellent advice. For desert we had a wonderful homemade apple cake.
