★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first drinks were 4 euros more expensive than what stated in the menu, so we paid 20 euros for two glasses of cheap wine. We asked for water that eventually they never brought. Music is a bit meh and generally a boring place with very young people. Can't recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is very pretty but the staff has no idea what they are doing. It is a working place where you can go with your lap top and work, but we were kicked out 2 times. The first time me and my friend were kicked out because it's lunch at 1pm and we had to leave because we said we don't want to eat lunch because simply we weren't hungry. Second time we went on the terrace and told the staff that we only want some coffee and they first said "okay, site here" and after waiting for 15 min on the table, the waiter came and kicked us out because it was lunch time and we can't site there. The food is also not great and the service is horrible. The waiter kicked my phone from the table because he wanted to rush and get the menu and instead of sorry he said "I didn't know your phone is there", I said it is ok but he could be a bit more patient and give me some time to give him the menu. Also you can't sit where you want, they give you a table. Overall, not worth it, there are better places in town with much better service.

The place looks good and fancy but there are plenty of beautiful terraces in rome with better food and better prices.
The quality of the food is very very low
And the prices are just crazy.
The worst part is that they pretend its extremely luxury quality so they come
Out with this absolutely ridiculous portions
But then you taste it and its horrible.
Drinks are not good either and staff
Is rude.
Nice view if you are looking for that only

Food is expensive and low quality. Would not recommend to come for lunch even in a nice sunny day!
Ordered a secondo of bacallá for 15 euros and this was a small tapa. The rest of the food from the company of my table didn't look great either.
Not worth coming all this way to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watered down drinks, bad service, the expectation to run after the staff when they pay no attention to you, and then they will insult you. Stay away. Off-Living Room nearby is 100% better. Go there -- the view at Piano Alto isn't worth the hassle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place used to be owned by the ever so fantastic PianoStrada people. Hence the chic styling. It has now changed hands and although they are not doing a bad job, neither does it have the start to finish polish if it’s step-sister.
That said, I recently enjoyed a truly exceptional steak there but the overall experience has dropped off significantly since last year. There is now a dj and it has more of a young folks date night vibe whereas before it was definitely for the conoscenti.
