P	Patrycja M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and quick service. Food is absolutely mouthwatering and portions are generous. Try their polenta dishes ? If you want to find a table I recommend to book it in advance or come streight after the opening time as this place is quite popular.

Y	Yuki Murakami on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite an unnerving experience. Arrived 5 minutes early to our 7pm reservation — one of the waitresses let us in reluctantly. Felt a constant unfriendly stare from the three waitresses / staff throughout the meal, until we left the restaurant. Also picked up on a few words from their conversation that made us believe they were talking / laughing about us. When confronted to see if we had done something wrong, they denied and said ‘there are not many places in the restaurant to look at’. Scratching my head to see if we had done or said anything wrong to invite negative attention. Last thing we needed after our long travel day. Reading the other reviews makes me believe that perhaps this restaurant is simply anti-tourist.

The Casoncelli Bergameschi are a total must have but there are some more unusual dishes like the pictured chestnut gnocchi and all totally delicious. And contrary to some of the other reviewers comments about being anti-tourist, the staff knew I wasn't local but were still lovely and accommodating. Recommended.

They said it was full, even though there were empty tables. We then met some local Italians outside while waiting, after 20 min they were let in and got a table, we didn't. Then those Italians talked to the waitress, and we then got invited in as well and got one of the empty tables. Quite strange experience. The food was good though and tasted fine, the interior is really cool

The place was occupied by three tables and the waitresses had to ask her boss if they had anything available. So after asking she said they were fully booked. I asked her if she was sure and if she could ask again. She did… which tells us that this is common practice. The manager came to tell us nothing different. We went to Lalimentari and they were very helpful and correct. Even though it’s a busy place they don’t care if you are Italian or not.
