β β β β β Interesting variety of artefacts in this museum. We mainly went in to get some shade from the sun but I was impressed none the less.

β β β β β Small but poignant museum showing the regional history . Very informative even if your Italian is a bit light .

β β β β β Although this museum is a little hidden away it is centrally located. It contains a good mixture of locally found objects well displayed.

β β β β β If you enjoy archeological exhibits, it's a nice little museum. Their prize is a bronze head of Apollo which is impressive human sized piece.

β β β β β Small, but well organized museum, taking the viewer from the neolithic to Grecian to Roman and medieval periods. Lots of artifacts, and the spectacular head of Apollo in bronze. A pleasure, and can be "done" in a few hours.

β β β β β Small collection of ancient items found in and around Salerno from about 8th c BC to 1st c AD. Lots of pots and grave items. Right now there is a toy exhibit that blocks and displaces some of the display cases. Beautiful bronze head of Apollo. 4 Euro entrance fee.

β β β β β Closed for repairs apparently, but this information is provided by locals, not by the museum itself (its website hasn't been updated since 2018!). Even local tourist websites and the info here in Google maps give the impression it is open. Sadly, it is not. In the words of a local gentleman we spoke to, "e' una tragedia" (update: its status is now "temporarily closed").
