★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nella visita al Polo monumentale sono incluse anche la Cattedrale di San Lorenzo e il Palazzo dei Papi, oltre al Museo. Quest ultimo è diviso in tre sezioni: Archeologica, storico-artistica ed arte sacra. Luogo ben curato ed interessante, decisamente consigliato.
 The visit to the monumental pole also includes the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Papi, in addition to the Museum. The latter is divided into three sections: archaeological, historical-artistic and sacred art. Well-kept and interesting place, definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Museo é stato costruito in occasione del Giubileo del 2000, si sviluppa su due piani ed é diviso in tre sezioni tematiche: una archeologica, che comprende reperti che vanno dall'epoca villanoviana a quella medievale. Una pinacoteca che raccoglie opere pittoriche di artisti originari della zona, fra cui Bartolomeo Cavarozzi e infine la sezione cosiddetta "Tesoro dei Papi", che espone paramenti e oggetti sacri appartenuti alla chiesa nei vari secoli. Il biglietto di ingresso cumulativo con Duomo e Palazzo dei Papi costa 9€ e comprende un'audioguida molto utile.
The Museum was built on the occasion of the Jubilee of 2000, is spread over two floors and is divided into three thematic sections: an archaeological, which includes finds ranging from the Villanovan to the medieval period. A picture gallery that collects paintings by artists originating in the area, including Bartolomeo Cavarozzi and finally the so-called "Treasure of the Popes", which exhibits vestments and sacred objects that belonged to the church over the centuries. The cumulative entrance ticket with the Duomo and Palazzo dei Papi costs € 9 and includes a very useful audio guide.

It is in fact the first pace were the conclave for reunited, so a good place to go if you love history.

The history of Viterbo, and its ties to the papacy is very interesting, but the explanations here are very dry and make no attempt to bring the history to life. Only go with a guide. Not one for young children.
