★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Splendida basilica. Antica, elegante e preziosa. Cosa non facile distinguersi in una città piena di gioielli come Padova. Consiglio di arrivarci a piedi durante la visita del centro per non dover impazzire col parcheggio. Sembra defilata, in realtà si raggiunge facilmente da molte parti.
Splendid basilica. Ancient, elegant and precious. It is not easy to stand out in a city full of jewels like Padua. I recommend getting there on foot while visiting the center so as not to have to go crazy with parking. It seems secluded, in reality it can be easily reached from many parts.

Sull'altare maggiore, affiancata da due angeli, c'è la Madonna dei Lumini, cara alla devozione dei padovani e festeggiata tutt'oggi. Consiglio una visita a questo edificio sacro, per poter osservarlo in tutta la sua maestosa bellezza.
One of the most beautiful churches in Padua, founded in the thirteenth century, richly adorned and frescoed, is one of the Marian basilicas par excellence of this beautiful city.
On the main altar, flanked by two angels, there is the Madonna dei Lumini, dear to the devotion of the Paduan people and still celebrated today. I recommend a visit to this sacred building, to be able to observe it in all its majestic beauty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imposing 15th century Basilica, surviving trace in the ancient "Conciapelli" area of Padova. Inside you can admire paintings, altars with inlaid marble, "De Lorenzi" pipe Organ (1877) and impressive architecture. It has recently undergone several restoration interventions.
