Inoltre è possibile salire sulla torre, per godere di una vista fantastica sulla piazza, sulla città e sul panorama circostante. Nelle belle giornate è possibile scorgere le Alpi apuane ed addirittura il golfo de La Spezia. Interessante e suggestiva anche la nostra temporanea di arte moderna al piano superiore. Beautiful palace, possibility to visit the perfectly maintained council chamber. It is also possible to climb the tower, to enjoy a fantastic view of the square, the city and the surrounding landscape. On fine days it is possible to see the Apuan Alps and even the Gulf of La Spezia. Our modern art temporary upstairs is also interesting and evocative.

È Palazzo dei Priori, cuore della vita politica dell’antico comune di Volterra, maestoso esempio della potenza della città... Amazing terracottas, fantastic coats of arms, all posted in memory of the Commissioners who ruled the city. The Florentine lions are on the side pillars. C	Christiaan Wijnia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifull townhall, if you are lucky and there is no ceremony, you cab have a look inside. Upstairs you need to pay 3 euros to climb the tower, the view is nice.
