★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Torre eccezionale da visitare per godere di un panorama mozzafiato sulla città di Volterra. C'è anche una bellissima sala "storica" da visitare o da utilizzare per conferenze d'"elite".
 Exceptional tower to visit to enjoy a breathtaking view over the city of Volterra. There is also a beautiful "historic" room to visit or use for "elite" conferences.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa-torre molto particolare, databile agli inizi del 13° secolo, formata da due parti ben distinte: un nucleo più antico costituito da una torre quadra dalle finestre molto strette (oggi visitabile sino alla sommità) ai cui lati meridionali messer Giovanni Toscano fece accorpare nel 1250 una nuova torre a forma di L il cui risultato fu una torre quadruplicata nelle dimensioni e con finestre molto più ampie nella nuova porzione, indice di tempi meno turbolenti. Nel corso del '700, poi, il tutto fu a sua volta inglobato in un molto più ampio e signorile palazzo edificato dalla famiglia Guarnacci.
Very particular house-tower, datable at the beginning of the 13th century, made up of two very distinct parts: an older nucleus consisting of a square tower with very narrow windows (now open to the top) to whose southern sides Messer Giovanni Toscano brought together in 1250 a new L-shaped tower whose result was a tower quadrupled in size and with much larger windows in the new portion, indicating less turbulent times. During the eighteenth century, everything was in turn incorporated into a much larger and more elegant building built by the Guarnacci family.

Il nucleo più antico è quello costituito dalla Casa-torre Toscano, databile agli inizi del sec. XIII, che possiamo ancora vedere nell’angolo di Nord Ovest. Un’iscrizione in latino collocata al di sopra del portone di ingresso del palazzo ci ricorda sia il proprietario di queste torri, Giovanni Toscano, sia il costruttore che progettò e realizzò questo edificio, Giroldo da Lugano.
Si può salire liberamente.
The most historic and intact building with adjoining tower in Volterra.
The oldest nucleus is the one constituted by the Tuscan Tower-House, datable to the beginning of the century. XIII, which we can still see in the North West corner. An inscription in Latin placed above the entrance door of the building reminds us both of the owner of these towers, Giovanni Toscano, and the builder who designed and built this building, Giroldo da Lugano.
