★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The waiters were very motivated when we arrived, but when we asked if the have any dishes with seafood (which seems to be a ridiculous question in Tuscany!?) they laughed at us and started gossiping in Italian behind our back. So we left before ordering.
Good luck with these people skills in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two stars because the food was good but the service not great. Cover charge and no bread given, even though other tables got it and still had to pay it. Waited a while to even get noticed which is a shame, staff too busy socialising to take order in a timely manner.

We turned up at 9.30 pm (45 mins before claimed shutdown time) and were very understanding of schedules for the waiters, so (with no necessary pressure) we ordered just cheese and deli (no cooking required) so that it took them less than other dishes to cook. Nevertheless, this was not enough for the same waiters who told us we could dine and after 5 minutes started being really annoying and awkward. LOTS of uncomfortable staring and putting customers in a hurry. The dinner was so un enjoyable that we hurried through our food (which was decent and average) and just left (at 10.20 pm!!!!!) with other customers stil at other tables. I’ve been living in Italy for over 20 years and have never had such bad quality in service, especially in a tourist site such as the most amazing San Gimignano. With all the choice there is, I really recommend elsewhere from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lasagna was partly still cold, I guess they used the microwave to heat it up. Didnt taste fresh or authentic. The pizza could have had more tomatoe sauce. Panzanella was quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a very good meal. We only had pasta and dessert but it was great. We had the Gnocchi with pear, pici with mushrooms and the pasta with truffle and everything was great! I can highly recommend this place.
