Il Museo ha un percorso archeologico fornito di apparato didattico e nelle sale espositive, Cripta di San Pietro e Sala dello Stemma, che accolgono resti dell’arredo liturgico altomedievale, il lapidario con reperti della Cattedrale romanica e gotica e di quella rinascimentale .
