★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caltanissetta scelta per costruire questo stupendo monumento. Si trova sul monte San Giuliano, a 727 m s.l.m., circondato da un belvedere lastricato da cui è visibile tutta la città e gran parte della Sicilia centrale.
Il monumento si compone di una statua bronzea collocata sopra un basamento in pietra. La statua, alta 4,85 metri, rappresenta il Cristo redentore
 Caltanissetta chosen to build this wonderful monument. It is located on Mount San Giuliano, at 727 m a.s.l., surrounded by a paved belvedere from which the whole city and most of central Sicily is visible.
The monument consists of a bronze statue placed on top of a stone base. The 4.85 meter high statue represents Christ the Redeemer

Ho messo 3 stelle per la presenza ormai predominante di antenne di tutti i tipi e forme.
L’elettromagnetismo sarà a livelli ormai fuori controllo. Una volta c’era “la zia Pina” con le sue angurie e uova sode... oggi è stata soppiantata da antenne, tralicci immensi, 4G 5G 6G 7G e chi più ne ha più ne metta.
Peccato, perché la vista è bellissima. L’atmosfera in generale è bellissima...

I put 3 stars for the now predominant presence of antennas of all types and shapes.
Electromagnetism will be at levels that are now out of control. Once there was "Aunt Pina" with her watermelons and hard-boiled eggs ... today she has been supplanted by antennas, huge pylons, 4G 5G 6G 7G and so on and so forth.
Too bad, because the view is beautiful. The atmosphere in general is beautiful ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumento storico di Caltanissetta a 727 m s.l.m..Costruito nel 1900 insieme ad altri monumenti simili ( venti) sparsi in tutta Italia in occasione del Giubileo del 1900 per commemorare i venti secoli trascorsi dalla redenzione.
si gode di un ottima vista della città e dei paesi limitrofi. ancora oggi viene celebrata la "festa del Redentore" il 6 agosto.
punto di ristoro per molti nisseni e non in estate. peccato che poco valorizzato e curato.
Historical monument of Caltanissetta at 727 m a.s.l. Built in 1900 together with other similar monuments (twenty) scattered throughout Italy on the occasion of the Jubilee of 1900 to commemorate the twenty centuries since the redemption.
you can enjoy an excellent view of the city and neighboring countries. the "Feast of the Redeemer" is still celebrated on August 6th.
refreshment point for many nisseni and not in summer. pity that little valued and cared for.
