They upgraded our hotel to another one located 10-15 min away from the centre, old and definitely not clean, not worth the money. Definitely disappointed. They claimed there were repairs on the floor, the reality was different, we know as it is quite common in Italy to be mistreated in this way. We will never recommend your hotel. What you did was disgusting. Very bad memories!

I've stayed in the hotel a night, just a week ago. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are in the old town and there are some nice places to visit around. The suite was not at the level of the suite I have expected but I recommend the hotel and Ferrara. The main square and the castle are just there under your nose. You can admire them during the day and after sunset. There are plenty of places with traditional cuisine and if you come from the USA or the UK enjoy the choice of food available. Ferrara is famous for its important Jewish community. There are some old synagogues to visit. I hope to see again Ferrara soon. And if you are eager to discover this city in a book, then I highly advise reading "The Garden Finzi Continis". The story of the book is happening in Ferrara and became a success for decades. You can still find it in all libraries in Italy.

Excellent location. The room lights didn't work but they offered us the option to book in a similar hotel or free dinner plus lamp for the room. While we dined, they fixed the lights. Excellent staff. Comfortable room.

The location is near historical landmarks and the castle looking room had a good vista and good amenities. Front desk hotel staff was ok. Unfortunately, the buffet staff was not on the same level at making guests feel welcome. Breakfast buffet was served by staff, whenever you asked for any quantity or variety they felt was not according to some their standards you were met by glares and shouting by its supervisors which in itself is sad because the food in itself was very good. I would recommend skipping breakfast here or being ready for mistreatment

Very nice, clean, well located hotel. Choose a room well, We had room 118 and a view of pigeon droppings. We was afraid to open the window so as not to inhale pathogens. In addition, water in the room is extra paid, although I have not found a price list anywhere.

A mercure unlike any other We did really consider this hotel until the very last minute as I was a bit worried about it being a typical bland Mercure and was hoping to stay in a place full of character since Ferrara was a medieval town. But we were quite surprised by what we were treated to. This is a Mercure unlike any other and comes with enough character. A great value for money and excellent option in Ferrara LOCATION: Fantastic location right next to the Castle with spectacular views of it DINE + DRINK: Didnt eat or drink in the hotel, so cannot comment ROOM: We stayed in 340, so this review is based on that; VIEW: stunning views of the Castle from the balcony ; SIZE: This was a huge LOFT based suite, so there was plenty of room divided between multiple spaces that were all tastefully decorated. The highlight was the excellent terrace balcony that came loaded with million dollar views of the castle; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Small Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment BUT NONE OF THEM WERE IN ENGLISH! A huge downer. But then hey, you are in a historic city to explore whats outside and not whats on the television. So we were ok with it.

I have booked two nights for mid-March. The day before I checked in, a hotel I didn't know about emailed me to say I had been transferred to another hotel to stay. That hotel was not an accor hotel and therefore did not have member privileges. The reviews for that hotel were not as good as this one. I felt bad because they told me very late that they could not let me check in and told me to stay at another hotel. Although the price was the same, I was disappointed.
