L	Lucky Traveller on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben mit unseren Kindern eine schöne Tour vom Parkplatz in Ulfas auf die Matatzspitze gemacht und wurden mit einem grandiosen Ausblick belohnt. Das ist wirklich beeindruckend. Der Weg war nie langweilig und stets gut ausgeschildert. Als Tipp könne wir die Schartalm beim Abstieg empfehlen. Dort kann man wirklich lecker essen. We made a nice tour with our children from the parking lot in Ulfas to the Matatzspitze and were rewarded with a magnificent view. That’s really impressive. The path was never boring and always well signposted. As a tip, we can recommend the Schartalm on the descent. You can eat really delicious there.
I	Isabell Döhlert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Aufstieg ist sehr lohnenswert, Aussicht ist toll. Wir sind allerdings von St. Martin aufgestiegen, sodass es 1600 Höhenmeter Aufstieg waren. Das ist auch aufgrund des Weges nicht empfehlenswert. Aufstieg über St. Leonhard ist deutlich schöner. The climb is very worthwhile, the view is great. However, we climbed from St. Martin, so it was an ascent of 1600 meters. This is also not recommended because of the route. Ascent via St. Leonhard is much nicer.

Approx. 2h hike starting from the parking lot in Ulfas. You pass the Ul fiber Alm and the Schartalm; the ascent is well marked.
M	Michael Pötzsch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer gut zu Fuss ist und Kondition hat kommt gut vom Parkplatz Ulfas über Ulfasalm in 2h - 2 1/2 h ans Ziel. Zurück empfiehlt sich der Weg über die Waalalm. Der Weg zieht sich über den Bergrücken deutlich länger. Aber es lohnt sich. Dann weiter am Waal entlang bis Ulfas Alm ca 3 1/2 h. If you are on foot and in good condition, you can get from the Ulfas car park via Ulfasalm in 2h - 2 1/2 hrs to your destination. The way back is recommended via the Waalalm. The path runs much longer over the ridge. But it's worth it. Then continue along the Waal to Ulfas Alm for about 3 1/2 hours.
w	walter innerhofer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toller Aussichtsberg mitten im Passeiertal. Mit etwas Trittsicherheit in rund drei Stunden vom Parkplatz Kratzegg aus leicht zu besteigen. Zwei Einkehrmöglichkeiten: Ulfaser Alm und Schart-Alm. Great panoramic mountain in the middle of the Passeier Valley. Easy to climb in around three hours from the Kratzegg car park with a bit of surefootedness. There are two places to stop for a break: Ulfaser Alm and Schart-Alm.

Wir sind direkt vom Krusterhof hoch gewandert. Very nice view of the valley and the mountains of the Alps. There are also many opportunities to enjoy the beautiful view on the hiking trail up. We hiked up directly from the Krusterhof.

Abstieg nach Matatz ist steil und erfordert Trittsicherheit mit Geduld. Nach weniger als 8 Stunden ist man wieder unten... The detour from the Meraner Höhenweg via the Matazspitze was worth it. Came from Pfelders, stopped at the Ulfas Alm and then climbed the Spitz. The descent to Matatz is steep and requires surefootedness with patience. After less than 8 hours you are back down ...

Drei bewirtschaftete Hütten mit nur wenig Umweg, sowohl beim Weg hinauf als auch auf dem Weg hinunter. It is easy to reach, with a challenging incline, but also again and again with shade and very varied perspectives. Three managed huts with only a few detours, both on the way up and on the way down.
