Anche con la calura estiva non si soffre il caldo, in quanto la strada fino al bosco é molto riparata da un lungo viale di cipressi. La boscaglia é molto fitta con tre punti di osservazione della fauna, ma purtroppo solo quello nel bosco é in parte agibile anche se inutile, data la posizione inadeguata; uno si essi era addirittura una propria vedetta ma é stato preso di mira dai vandali e quello più lontano é posto su una passerella- pontile in legno oramai inaccessibile per la fitta vegetazione. Un'altra chicca era la stazione di rilevamento metereologica, ma anche quest'ultima é stata totalmente saccheggiata e distrutta dai vandali. A nice quiet and typically Salento place, ideal for a walk with the family or alone, by bike or on foot. Even with the summer heat you do not suffer from the heat, as the road up to the forest is very sheltered by a long avenue of cypresses. The bush is very dense with three points of observation of the fauna, but unfortunately only the one in the wood is partly accessible even if useless, given the inadequate position; one was even his own lookout but was targeted by the vandals and the farthest one is placed on a wooden footbridge, now inaccessible due to the dense vegetation. Another gem was the meteorological survey station, but also the latter was totally looted and destroyed by vandals.

Le insegne durante il percorso sono un po' sbiadite e sembra che sia tutto abbandonato, ma per fortuna è mantenuto tutto pulito. Perfect place for a walk and a picnic.
