★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un castillo lleno de historia importante, cruze de Normannos, Svevos, Anjoinos. Recién restaurado y con guias muy preparadas permite de entrar en contacto con partes de la historia italiana y española cuyas huellas todavia permanecen en el caracter de las dos naciones. Muy recomendable!

Andate al Castello di Montalbano e fatevi raccontare dal guardiano la bellissima storia che ha coinvolte i luoghi e le persone del tempo. A piedi, in bicicletta, in moto, in macchina, con il camper, con l'autobus, ma non perdetevi questo borgo meraviglioso.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Splendido borgo, Montalbano Elicona, meritevole di essere stato giudicato Borgo dei Borghi nel 2015. Il suo punto di forza è senz'altro il castello di Federico II d'Aragona, ma tutto il centro storico è degno di nota. Basta girare senza meta, tra i vicoli e le stradine, in un silenzio quasi inquietante, con gli occhi bene aperti a cogliere i dettagli dei portoni, dei palazzetti, dei punti panoramici, per apprezzare la bellezza di questo paese dove i numerosi cartelli di "Vendesi", purtroppo, ci mostrano che sono tante, troppe, le persone che l'hanno abbandonato o stanno per abbandonarlo.
Beautiful village, Montalbano Elicona, worthy of being judged Borgo dei Borghi in 2015. Its strong point is undoubtedly the castle of Frederick II of Aragon, but the whole historic center is noteworthy. It is enough to wander aimlessly, through the alleys and streets, in an almost disturbing silence, with your eyes wide open to grasp the details of the doors, of the buildings, of the panoramic points, to appreciate the beauty of this country where the numerous signs of " For sale ", unfortunately, they show us that there are many, too many, people who have abandoned it or are about to abandon it.
