★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful sand bar extends a long way from the small lakes out into the sea. Apart from a few fishermen, it was almost deserted when I walked out along it in late March. The views of the mountains are stupendous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, but be warned you're going to be walking really really far, in very hot climate, on pebbles. Bring a sun umbrella and water and a snack.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That's undoubtedly my favourite place in the world. Been visiting a dozen times a year for 5 years now. The stunning views, the Mediterranean bush, the profound silence do not cease to amaze me. Try to visit in June or September, when the heat is enough to allow for a swim at the same time avoiding the crowds. There's a quite rare chance of seeing flamingos in early spring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning! We had a nice walk out to the spit and back. Bring your own beach umbrella, food and water if you plan to stay long as there aren't shops around (yay).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place- other worldy feel to it with a spit of beach dividing the sea. Little inland lakes. Partly sand but mixed mainly with shingle. Sensitive feet will need water sandals. Sea temperature so warm here .
