★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una mia amica che lavora a Roma mi aveva parlato da un pó di questo bar/pasticcieria dove si possono assaggiare in particolare i pasticciotti salentini, dei dolci di frolla dalla forma ovale con ripieno classico di crema pasticciera ma disponibili anche in altre varianti.
E quindi quando sono stato mercoledì a Roma ci sono passato con lei prima di riprende il treno, ad assaggiare diciamo il classico con ripieno di crema pasticciera e amarena.
Il pasticciotto era buono si ma io avrei preferito mangiarlo a temperatura ambiente e non sfornato evidentemente poco prima e messo in vetrina.
Purtroppo se mangiate un pasticciotto caldo la frolla si sbriciola tutta fra le mani e il ripieno (sopratutto se é a base di crema pasticciera) vi ustiona la bocca.
Per i miei gusti un pasticciotto va mangiato a temperatura ambiente per goderselo appieno quindi chiedete sempre se sono appena sfornati e in questo caso aspettate che raffreddi.
Io ecco la prossima volta che sarò a Termini ci torno per provare un altro gusto perché alla fine per 2 euro vi mangiate un bel pasticciotto.
 A friend of mine who works in Rome had talked to me for a while about this bar / pastry shop where you can taste in particular the Salento pasticciotti, oval-shaped shortcrust pastries with classic custard filling but also available in other variations.
And so when I was in Rome on Wednesday I went there with her before she took the train again, to taste, let's say, the classic stuffed with custard and black cherry.
The pasticciotto was good yes but I would have preferred to eat it at room temperature and obviously not baked just before and put on display.
Unfortunately if you eat a hot pasticciotto the pastry crumbles all in your hands and the filling (especially if it is based on custard) burns your mouth.
For my taste, a pasticciotto should be eaten at room temperature to fully enjoy it so always ask if they are freshly baked and in this case wait for it to cool.
Here is the next time I'm in Termini I'll go back to try another taste because in the end you can eat a nice pasticciotto for 2 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That's a serendipity to me. I had no info about this pastry firm (since 1950), and once i tasted their products i loved their ability.
But i am surprised such quality is located underground. Maybe that is considered a good point, but to me they should be up in the main Gallery or near the tracks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place for quick breakfast. Good range of sandwich pizza ? and sandwich, croissant, cake to choose from. Freshly baked on-site and served over counter. The coffee was amazing. It’s absolutely beat value money can buy. Highly recommended for commuting travellers to check this. They do have a sit down place for dinning or can every have it over the counter standing.
