β β β β β I Ordered 2 croissants and they were quite dry and flat on the inside. I thought β¬2.50 was quite expensive for the quality.

β β β β β Had the Maritozzo that I saw in the window and the sign which you can see in photos says it is 3 euro. I got it in a napkin to eat as I walked and did not sit and eat it which sometimes is extra in Italy. Worker/owner took my 10 and gave me back a five. I asked for the change and he wouldnβt give me the other two euroβ¦stole two euro. Even beyond that the Maritozzo was very dry and the panna or cream was not sweet at all. The bread had a nice sweetness to it but was still dry possibly day or two old. There are far too many great pasticcerie in Rome to spend money here where you risk them not giving you the change you are owed or have average food.

β β β β β the cookies were great as well as other pastries. We took quite a bit of time to decide what we wanted but the man working wasnβt bothered by it and greeted us with a smile. It is quite pricey but for a one time treat I would definitely recommend.

β β β β β Sister had pasta and i a pizza. Service was nice and our waitor was funny. Liked that! Atmosphere was so nice. Food came quite fast even though it was packed with people. Our desert was Oukei. The chocolate cake was dry. But the food was good. The price was not high at this restaurant which was a plus. :)

β β β β β Close to the train station with lots of pastries to choose from.
Ordered a coffee, and the guy went to the back and got a coffee from one of those dispensable plastic cup machines. It was awful. And funny part is that there was also one of those machines right next to our table, but because the guy did it for us, we were charged 0.50β¬ more because he did it!

β β β β β Dates of Visit: Dec19-24, 2021 (1 visit per day). I MUST GIVE ROSCIONI 5 STARS. Roscioni became a family favorite. We tried many of their baked goods, and of those we loved, we bought them again and again. One does NOT find such bakeries in most the the United States anymore, even in most urban areas & major US cities. Since we were in Rome for the Christmas 2021 Holidays, I deliberately sought it out since it was closest to our hotel and to/from Termini Station. It was great for daily snacks (Roscioni's baked goods were more preferred by my family than the standard breakfast pastries from our hotel), and for taking on Rome day trips. The Maritozzi con Panna was outstanding in my family's opinion (all 5 of us). The light sweetened whipped cream filling was delightful, not heavy, not runny - and it was clearly made from dairy cream, not some fake whipped cream, because when I left one sitting overnight in our hotel room, unrefrigerated, it had soured, clearly reminding me of sour cream...VERY evident it was made from dairy cream ...so don't let them sit out unrefrigerated overnight!) The pastry itself tends to get soggy by the end of the day btw, so its best to consume them immediately, but either way, my family loved them. The nicest touch was the proprietor would take the 5 I ordered out of the refrigerator and place them on a sturdy foil-lined paper tray, and then wrap them carefully with ribbon & tape - very nice! Many other things we tried: Lingue di Gatto - purchased 1/2Kg; turned out to be a great family snack when taking breaks at the Vatican Museum! (Just try not to crumble them, but they're easy to hide! Tiramisu (of course), cannoli, Ungheresi, and several kilograms of the fresh cookies (displayed by the window) - all were fantastic. The cookies turned into a great hit with my kids...we bought a kilogram on every visit. They aren't cheap, but they were clearly fresh (not necessarily freshly baked that day) - A LOT FRESHER & TASTIER THAN ANY GROCERY-STORE-BOUGHT-COOKIES IN THE UNITED STATES! When you can literally taste the butter used in the cookies, and the distinct taste of [European] chocolate frosting, these cookies were fantastic. (In fact, we miss them!) So for us, having lived and toured several parts of Europe in the past, and nearly all of the United States (except the Upper Plains States), Roscioni helped truly enhance our overall enjoyment of our Rome visit by providing truly tasty, exceptional, enjoyable snacks. As for the proprietors...some of you have complained that they are not very polite...well, GET OVER YOURSELVES! I've walked into Roscioni at the beginning of their day, and also near end of their night to buy pastries & cookies, after having a long day myself touring Rome. The old gentleman is there the ENTIRE time, which has got to be nearly 12+ hours...and I have no idea how early that morning he was baking that day's pastries. It's clear this is their family-owned bakery. He takes pride in it. Plus being so close to Termini, he's seen all sorts and manner of customers, and non-customers. And the world is still in a Pandemic! Get over yourself if you think he is rude...he is not...he's there 6 days/week, 12+ hours per day...and he and his wife make some amazing pastries & cookies that helped to make our Christmas 2021 in Rome a thoroughly enjoyable time. Rome wasn't just pasta, pizza, and wine - it was also Roscioni! (No - we did not try the pizza or sandwiches...so I can't comment on those. It appears that at one time Roscioni had a restaurant/dining area open next door and I am sure they likely had great dining options. But for now, there are many other places nearby that do those especially well.)
