★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful ! Prices on the display are different from the one they put on your bill. Very disappointing.
Members of staff don't speak English. No one warned us that prices are doubled when you eat inside. It was a huge surprise to find out it on the till.

Yes, they are not the cheapest around but the selection and the quality are great.
If you want a treat and don't mind spending a little more, you will enjoy it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Dagnino to enjoy a pizza close to our hotel before we left for FCO. The pizzas are overpriced and were probably the worst we had during our entire trip. I would've rated Dagnino lower if it were not for the great service and the good pastries and deserts (which are their main business).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve tried all the famous coffee shops in Rome and I keep coming back here. The Sicilian espresso is strong and robust without being bitter and their pastries are over the top. Service is friendly and polite and the ambiance is classic. This is the place to come for elegance and style, just like many of the customers. But it’s the coffee that does the job. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners of this cafe are focused on squeezing their customers for extra Euros instead of providing decent products and service. First, a biscotto (small cookie) that sells for 50 cents to 1 Euro elsewhere in Rome sells for 1.5 Euros here. And the biscotti were stale. Second, the grim-faced owner behind the counter would clearly rather be elsewhere. To be fair, the cappuccino tasted fine, but at 3.60 Euros (at the top of the price range for cappuccinos in Rome) the owner--who took our order-- should at least get the order correct: we ordered two cappuccino scuros (black, that is, with less milk) but were served two regular capuccinos. Not sure how this places stays in business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sicilian pastry shop you pay double the price for a cup of coffee elsewhere. I have to wait awhile to be serve behind the pastry counter. A old Italian gentleman just walked up and was serve immediately although I was standing there before him. She put his pastries in a tray and nicely wrapped but when it's my turn, she throw it into a paper bag!! Pastries is good, very bad service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've read some very unflattering reviews for Dagnino's Pastry Shop on Google and Yelp and cannot understand what these people are talking about.
On my trip to Rome in March 2022 I visited Dagnino Pastry Shop at least a dozen times and can vehemently state that these reviews are not justified.
The restaurant is inside a small shopping plaza with comfortable chairs and immaculately clean tables. The pastries are the best we've ever had and we have traveled throughout Europe and the United States. The owner and wait staff are cordial, courteous and professional. The pastries are always fresh and the prices are competitive and reasonable.
What you have to consider after reading these negative reviews is that the negative reviews are from Dagnino's competition because there is no pastry shop in all of Rome that comes close to the taste and quality of Dagnino Pastry Shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager of this shop is dishonest. He overcharged us on every item. In total, on a 10.5 Euro receipt, he earned 4 Euro more for his pocket. I was very angry and asked the money back. Don't go there unless you want to be cheated.
