On Monday 19th August we arrived at Treviso Airport some 35 minutes before the scheduled time we had booked our car. Not to keep us waiting Locauto upgraded our car and had us ready in no time. Great Service.

I did rent from Locauto for the first time at the end of July for our family holiday. I received an excellent service from their call centre first when I called for un upgrade. When I arrived to collect the lady that did the paper work was very friendly and professional also very efficient. I was directed to the car park where we checked the car and received the key. The car was immaculate, two months old with 3000 km on the clock. When I returned the car again very smooth and absolutely no issues. I was a bit hesitant at first given some of the reviews I read. I still however wanted to give it a try as it was quite good value. I must say I will definitely rent from them again and would recommend it.

Arrived at 7:45AM, they have a miniscule booth at Treviso Airport, it was closed. I didn't want to wait around until who knows when, so I went for a coffee. Came back in 20 minutes, there's a long line at their booth. 30 minutes later I'm still in that line, there are two more persons in front of me, and each person takes about 15 minutes. I'm on vacation wasting hours in the airport for a car I've already paid. If you think of renting from then, think again. Update: it took 1h15min in front of the booth. I tried four credit cards, all were declined. At some point I thought I will be carless, even though the car was already paid, this charge was just for a deposit they needed. I insisted there is no charge on the cards, as they would email me instantly if a transaction was tried and declined. He fiddled with the card reader and it finally worked. What a relief, I have a car. On the plus side Nicola was really patient and tried his best, smiling and being nice.

Unfortunately, quite rigid when managing bookings made by a 3rd party platform, and not providing winter tyres, which is not safe enough.

Car was not ready when arrived at airport! Had to wait with rental agent not providing any solutions. Edit: After I finally got the car I was confronted by the same agent who was very angry I had written a bad review. She wanted me to change the review. not letting me speak and cutting me whenever I tried to. Very rude. Once I got to the car, the guy did not care at all about the marks on the car and wanted me to leave ASAP. He seems super bored. The car kept making odd noises and he told me: it’s a Renault, always bad electronics. Very odd experience

An absolute scam! AVOID I booked online and paid upfront for Volkswagen Golf and when I got to the front desk they gave me a FIAT 500 Large with 48000kms. When I complained they justify the car is within the same category as the VW Golf. They are by no means similar vehicles. I paid nearly 80 euros per day for a car which is old and smells bad inside. They are scamming tourists upon arrival to the airport terminal. When I asked for management they said no one was available, and no other cars were in stock. An awful experience. I rent cars all around the world all the time and this is by far my worst experience. NEVER AGAIN Locauto! Shameful!!!!!

Car was clean and tidy and in good condition. Staff were super helpful. Special shout out to Edd, easy to deal with very friendly. Great experience. Nearest petrol station to fill up is left onto the main road and about 200m down the road. You pay in a central console between the pumps - that threw me the first time.
