Leonardo da Vinci Museum and Archimede Siracusa

Lovely place. It would have been nice to have some more information on Archimedes. In the exhibit it is also net very clear whether Archimedes or Leonardo is responsible. Just a suggestion

The museum is interesting for both kids and adults. We enjoyed it's possible to try/practice a number of Archimedes fundamental contributions to our civilians if today.

A very instructive interactive museum that perfectly connects two legends of mathematics, Archimedes and Leonardo da Vinci. I highly recommend the visit to parents of primary school children, as the descriptions of the inventions are written especially understandably for them. We enjoyed and had a lot of fun. Thanks also to the very friendly hostess for introducing and presenting the museum.

I was disappointed from the beginning. Lady who was selling the tickets was pretty annoyed by us. She looked like she really don't like her work and speaking in English with us was her worst nightmare ? let me explain my experience. We could not pay with card there so we had to pay with cash. She started to groan once we had only 50 euro to pay with (tickets were overpriced btw) and she gave us ripped 10 euro back (so we had to go to bank to exchange later). Then tour started. She turned the TV with basic information and then went to online call with someone out loud (in the same room) so we didn't hear properly.? It was like she was doing it on purpose just because we are tourists. Once we went to museum itself it wasn't that bad,but anyway I would recommend to go for the other Archimedes museum near archaeological park. It was much more funny and interactive. In this museum you could "try" some inventions as well on your own but just with boring text instead of funny presentation. I see Lot of room for improvement here. Edit after staff response: I am very sorry for your negative response. We surely know how to behave in museum and we didn't make any noise or anything you are describing. So this is just sad lie to protect your behaviour. I was reading the responses you sent to other people who gave similar small rating. It is always the same - Blaming the guests instead of thinking about cause. I wish you all the best, but please don't take the feedback as a bad thing but as a room to improvement. PS: The call did sound like family meeting more than speaking with customers.?

Really good place to visit, especially if you like to know how things work. Surprising, how many modern technologies derive from ancient and/or renaissance times. Interactive exposition, also i’ve never seen section with simple explanation for kids before.

Lovely little museum to stop by when visiting Siracusa. A lot of the exhibits were interactive which make it quite interesting for the kids. The explanation for each invention is in the form of long text which can get a little tiring to read (though you can always read the shorter kids version), but overall it's well worth the visit!

Great little museum. Central location and easy to find. Interactive which would be great for those with kids but is also still interesting for adults. Is about Archimedes' inventions as well as reference to 'that Eureka' moment in Syracuse! Would definitely recommend

Excellent exposition of some of Archimedes inventions! Go there. It is simple and effective. My kids [7-9] are still recalling the inventions, which is extraordinary for they tend to forget most things they see in slick museums. The guide is a great storyteller. Don’t be discouraged when you don’t see a golden entrance, there is no need for that when the story is right. And it is right.
