★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have a large selection and were patient with us biking amateurs, offering good bike trails, all in English. Plus, we rented bikes for 1.5 days and they only charged us for one because they were a little late in opening the shop upon our return (Monday’s are quiet for them)

Bikes are well maintained and are in immaculate condition. Franco was really easy to deal with and provided some great recommendations on the area. Five stars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Landfill Bike Rental in the little town of Montaione in the middle of the countryside in Tuscany is a little gem. The bikes are high end bikes and in tip-top conditions. You can be sure to find what you need. The owner is a bicycle racer who still races locally - and wins...and is extremely knowledgeable. Franco is a really friendly and helpful guy who goes out of his way to make sure you have a good ride. He even came from home to open his shop during the midday break, because we were delayed. He also attends to each rider personally and makes all the adjustments to make sure the bike fits you perfectly.
The local riding with its many hills is challenging for the novice, but you are riding through a beautiful landscape. For a shorter ride I would recommend riding from Montaione to the mediaeval town of San Gimignano, about 20 km away, a place that has not changed for hundreds of year; truly stunning.
I highly recommend LandHill Bike Rental for a good ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tuscany has a lot of hills- really need a good bike, particularly with functioning brakes. Most of the rental agencies only provided either touring or mountain bikes, I really wanted a decent road bike to put in the miles. Land Hill was the only place in Tuscany I could find that had decent road bikes (and then some) for rental. It is a bit out of the way (thank God for GPS) but worth it. Franco very helpful (despite limited English, my limited Italian) fitted us up with a pair of great all carbon Specialized bikes for both my son and I- disk brakes came in handy on the descents! Given quality of bikes, price was reasonable, Franco there as promised to set us up, and again there on time when we had to (sadly) return them- hassle free. Also has a repair wagon if any problems, promised to come out and fix if needed (fortunately did not). If looking for high end road bike (and given the countryside, why on earth would you go for less) Franco about only game in town, and moreover delivers. Would use again next time back in Tuscany.

Hired six bikes for a week while staying locally on a family holiday.
Top spec Specialized Roubaix and Tarmac's at a very reasonable price.
Beautiful riding in the area and we did some really nice loops thanks to some recommendations from Daniele.
Also a great selection of high end ebikes that I wish we'd had time to sample some of the local mtb trails on.
Whether you've got a week or just a few hours, I cannot recommend Landhill highly enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delivery and pickup sadly with a delay; Delivery 2hrs - pickup only 15min. But they gave us an additional day without extra cost as a compensation, which was nice. The bikes were clean and really good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very nice 40k MTB ride around hills around the woods of the Mantoine region. The fully Levo E-bike was wel maintend and ready to ride. Just beware of the mosquitoes in the woods, they are even more dangerous then the downhil segements.
