★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful experience for our 4 day self guided bike hire around Tuscany. Simona and Alessio from ‘On the road Chianti’ were so friendly and easy to communicate with prior to our trip via email and accommodated our itinerary and made some fabulous recommendations. Their service and Communication was excellent and they met us and provided drop off and pick up services for our bikes and supplied us with all the necessary equipment including panniers. The bicycles were top notch and handled the paved roads and white roads very well. We had no issues at all. Highly recommend choosing On the Road Chianti.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best bike hire ever. We rented for four days in Greve (free delivery). Having rented bikes all over the world I can honestly say this is the best experience I have ever had. The bikes were top quality, fairly priced and very well maintained.
I'd highly recommend them for that alone but in the end they offered us so much more. One of our party unfortunately crashed on a fast descent. He was unhurt but the bike was a bit bashed up. All too often that would mean a hefty bill. But instead they worked hard, fixed the bike and only charged us for a new saddle (which had been shredded!). Can't say fairer than that.
AND (this is the best bit) on the drive to Chianti one of hubcaps had disappeared. My friend mentioned this to them when they delivered the bikes. Following a phone call to a friend in a Renault garage On The Road In Chianti turned up with a shiny new hubcap! They refused any kind of payment for doing this and charged us only face value for the hubcap.
What amazing people.
You should definitely hire your bike here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great experience renting 2 Carbon road bikes from On the road in chianti. The owners were very friendly and helpful in advizing routes with beautiful views. They provided maps and even an GPS Garmin. The bicycles were great and perfectly set up for us. We found out San Casciano is a very good place to start bicycle routes in Chianti as the scenery is very beautiful. Can recommend this bicycle rental everybody!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a perfect experience here! We were warmly welcomed by the staff and rented a good carbon and aluminium frame bike. They also gave us helmets and water bottles, which we didn’t bring ourselves. We said we wanted to do a route for about 70 km and they tipped one that was excellent. They showed and explained the route on the map with some alternatives as well and gave us a Garmin bike computer for navigating whilst cycling. We would definitely recommend this bike rent shop!

We came in last minute with no reservations looking for bikes and they immediately welcomed us and hooked us up with the perfect setup. The bikes themselves were amazing but more than that we loved chatting with the owners. They are beyond kind and really give you a feel for the charm of the area. Highly recommend!

The location is the perfect jumping off point for a great tour around the Chianti region with many wineries and cute towns to cycle to and between. Very easy to access by public bus from Florence - the perfect day trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here two and a half years ago and it was one of the most memorable and wonderful experiences of my whole life. The bike route suggested to me by the shop owner was so amazing and easy to follow, the natural scenery and villages were incredibly beautiful and made me fall in love with the Italian countryside. This experience made me discover a deep appreciation for the charm of rural Italian (and European) landscapes that I still carry with me today.
The bike itself was excellent and well supplied including helmet, water and repair kit.
I will never forget the extraordinary kindness of the couple who runs the bike shop in going out of their way and sparing nothing to ensure I had a great experience: they treated me to a delicious dinner after my bike ride and even drove me back to Florence (a 30+ minute drive) to save me the trouble of taking the bus. Truly the best customer service I’ve received in my life!
