β β β β β Quite disappointing. Out of four waiters two were very impolite, and we were unfortunate to have to deal with both. We were treated in a way that made us feel not welcome, as if they wanted us to leave soon. The food was generally ok, we had the cheese plate (not very nicely arranged and without any dip, so quite dry) and the homemade pici, which was tasty, but not as good as at other places in San Gimignano. Still they justify one star, the other is given for the nice decoration, which makes it a comfortable, quiet place to eat.
But overall we can't recommend it, as the prices did not match the service (3,50β¬ cuperto and very unfriendly waiters!) or the food.

β β β β β A very beautiful setting a little hidden within the walls of the historic city.
The staff is very professional and friendly. The produces they use in their food is local and they use a short chain.
The food they offer is absolutely fabulous, not only the taste but also presentation wise.

β β β β β Excellent and innovative food and service. Strong emphasis on melding sweet and savoury - highlights were onion tart with butter ice cream and parmagiano sauce, and the ravioli with pigeon

β β β β β I loved this restaurant. Such a beautiful tucked away little gem serving a very creative menu and quality ingredients and super wines. Great service too. Would love to visit again in summer and sit outside. Go, you won't be disappointed!

β β β β β Medium-low dinner
We ordered a steak tartar, which I think is the worst tartar I have ever tried.
The second plate was better though
Overpriced for the service and quality

β β β β β A very unique and appealing restaurant inside the walls of san gimignano, siena italy. The place is filled with creative design and you won't even think of it as a restaurant. The people are very accomodating and polite, the food is very delicious you can taste it as your typical home cooked meals. Portions are exact as italian dishes are. Overall I Highly recommended this place.
And if you're going to visit it the nearest way is from florence.

β β β β β We had lunch here as it was very busy, so looked like a good place.
The food was great, we had the quail and the pork belly. Both dishes really good serving sizes and both very tasty.
The gardens are beautiful and it is a lovely place to relax.
The only reason I haven't given them five starts is because the whole process was transactional. No interaction with us or any of the other diners either. They were busy, but a smile and a welcoming attitude goes a long way.
