If you're looking for excellent vines, take a break at this "Enoteca" in the heart of San Gimignano, cause it won't get quite better than this.

The absolute go to place - the cordiality of the staff matched with best bruschette and some Vernaccia wine is going to grab your heart! My only regret is to have missed this place during my previous visits to San Gimignano!

We were strolling around this lovely old town feeling a bit hungry. Options in this town are plenty, but we've spotted this place before when we walked by and it looked good. We waited a few minutes for a table outside. We had our dog with and she was welcome outside and in! We ordered two glasses of white wine and a salumi / cheese platter and a veggie antipasti plate. You can choose the meat cuts and cheese cuts of your liking inside at the counter or just let the waiter surprise yourself. There's also porchetta (italian pig roast), but usually only available for sandwiches. But we asked and cut a piece of it as well. The meat was of very good quality and so was the cheese. The veggies were nicely roasted and covered with good olive oil. We've spent five weeks in Italy last summer and had lots of good meat and cheese. And compared this place holds up very well. Nice staff, good food, great location (watch the world go by). And came together to just around 20 Euros. Would definitely come back.
