Proprietario del negozio di souvenir gentilissimo e cortese che GRATUITAMENTE fornisce spiegazioni e curiosità sulla botte. Oltre la visita alla botte ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie su Gubbio, dalle feste, a consigli su come visitarla e quali periodi sono i migliori. Una guida perfetta!!!!! s	simone senna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono stato in questo incatevole ed affascinante paese medievale nel periodo a cavallo del mese di ottobre e novembre 2019, nel camminare trovo questo posticino dove è conservato questa botte gigantesca, la botte dei canonici contente più di 20.000 litri con 500 anni di storia, la particolarità di questa botte è che la cerchiatura è fatta in legno, mentre nella normalità era fatta di ferro, tutte queste informazioni le ho ricevute dal simpaticissimo gestore dello shop di souvenir il signor Francesco, che cortesemente si è reso disponibile, inoltre ci ha dato tantissime informazioni riguardante cose da visitare, ristoranti e tantissimi altre informazioni, il minimo che abbiamo potuto fare per ringraziarlo è stato acquistare souvenir nel suo negozio.. consiglio vivamente il passaggio alla grande botte... Nn si paga l ingresso....ad offerta!!! La sua capacità era di 200 ettolitri di vino che si conservavano al suo interno in barili da 52 LT ed erano la scorta annuale dei canonici del borgo. Il titolare del negozio è stato davvero squisito, ci ha illustrato egregiamente la storia della botte e dato ottimi suggerimenti su cosa visitare e come raggiungere i punti di interesse consigliati. Complimenti!!??? Unique in Europe. This barrel was built by local monks in 1500 and made up of wooden rings only. Its capacity was 200 hectoliters of wine which were kept inside in 52-liter barrels and were the annual supply of the canons of the village. The owner of the shop was really exquisite, he explained the history of the cask to us very well and gave us excellent suggestions on what to visit and how to reach the recommended points of interest.
