Facile da raggiungere fino a poche centinaia di metri, fino a Ordona, dopo di che ci si giunge solo con l'ausilio di Google maps... Nessun timore se vi ritrovate davanti a un cancello di una masseria e su un tratturo che attraversa un terreno privato... Coraggio! Entrate perché Herdonia si svelerà proprio oltre quel passaggio angusto... Vale la pena immergersi in questo angolo di mondo antico e dimenticare l'incuria degli uomini e la civiltà delle pale eoliche che si infilano tutt'attorno al paesaggio... It is a truly suggestive place that catapults you into the ancient past, making history breathe, also because it is immersed in the countryside. Easy to reach up to a few hundred meters, up to Ordona, after which you can only reach it with the help of Google maps ... Néanmoins, pour le trouver, j'ai dû m'adresser à quelqu'un du coin car un des rares panneaux qui l'indiquent est à terre ! ? tout cela pour finir par entrer dans la propriété d'une dame très charmante, où j'ai pu garer la voiture. De chez elle, on accède au site gratuitement. Les ruines sont splendides mais malheureusement, le site n'est pas du tout entretenu...très dommage, car il a un potentiel extraordinaire. Il serait judicieux de programmer d'autres fouilles pour déterrer l'amphithéâtre et le reste de la ville... ? Magnificent archaeological site! However, to find it, I had to talk to someone from the area because one of the rare signs indicating it is on the ground! ? all this to end up entering the property of a very charming lady, where I was able to park the car. From her home, you can access the site for free. The ruins are splendid but unfortunately the site is not maintained at all ... a shame, because it has extraordinary potential. It would be wise to schedule other excavations to unearth the amphitheater and the rest of the city ... ?

Er zijn 2 informatie borden ook in het Engels, de je info over de opgraving geven , met jaartallen. Dat zo’n stuk geschiedenis hier ligt.... Pay attention. You park on a residential area. It looks like you're wrong. There is also an English-speaking man walking around. Dog walks with you. There are 2 information boards also in English, giving you information about the excavation, with dates. That such a piece of history is here ....

La Regione dovrebbe vergognarsi di tenere una vera e propria città romana (al pari di una Pompei) in questo stato. Abbandono, personale inesistente, vegetazione galoppante non permettono di godere in pieno della bellezza (CHE C'È!) del sito! I'm sorry to give three stars but I don't give them to the importance of the site and to the objective beauty but from how it is kept! The Region should be ashamed to keep a real Roman city (like a Pompeii) in this state. Abandonment, non-existent staff, galloping vegetation do not allow you to fully enjoy the beauty (THAT'S THERE!) Of the site!

E' incredibile una citta' romana giunta ai nostri tempi. Va valorizzata di piu'. Va custodita, e' una perla abbandonata ....
