★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious artisanal ice-cream! All home made and some lovely dairy free options which are the best I've ever had. My daughters really enjoyed their dairy ice-creams and also said it was the best they'd tasted. Highly recommend and the owner was very friendly and explained how he makes it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot find the words to describe this gelato. I find myself wanting to book a ticket from the US to Florence just so I can eat this gelato again. My husband and I came to Florence for 3 days during our honeymoon, and during our stay in the city, we came to La Gelatiera 6 times. Each day we went in, there were new flavors listed on the board, each one made from scratch by the lovely gentleman, Francesco, who owns the place. Every flavor he had, we tried. Every flavor we tried blew our minds. I've never had gelato like that and I don't think I ever will again, unless I come back here. When we would visit, my husband would always let Francesco pick two flavors for him, and each time he knocked it out of the park. I tried to stick with flavor combinations that I knew would work well and quickly realized any of his flavors go well together. For me, the flavors that stood out most were the peach with prosecco and the mango. The peach flavor was so good I think I had a tear in my eye as I was eating it. I genuinely cant think of a place in my lifetime that has impressed me as much as La Gelatiera. If you're ever in the area, do yourself the tremendous favor of enjoying this gelato. There are gelato shops on every corner in Florence, but I guarantee none of them even compare to this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent gelato from this lovely homemade Gelateria ! The owner was really kind and friendly. We had the pistachio and mango which were amazing and not too sweet. The pistachio was also not heavy at all which made it easy to finishing. Definitely one of the best pistachio gelatos we had in Italy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will not find a more delicious gelato! The owner of this shop clearly takes pride in the quality of his gelato, and he showcases unique seasonal flavors. Definitely come here, and you will find an excuse to return. The couple in front of us in line got a toasted/warmed brioche stuffed with gelato, which they informed us is a treat in Southern Italy. It was delicious, and the cups and cones exceeded our high expectations, as well!
