★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst tea and coffee we’ve had in all of Europe, whilst being the most expensive. Rude service is just the cherry on top. Views are great but you can get a more spectacular one for free if you just walk a few steps down the stairs!

Staff were very friendly on our visit (sitting upstairs for food/lunch). Delicious focaccia and bruschetta. Prices are high but the location warrants it. Shrimp toppings were far too sparse though…
Best view in the town and there’s a very special couples table sitting on top of the wall if you’re lucky!! (With 220° views)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent & iconic bar in Riomaggiore with gorgeous view over town and the sea. Top notch drinks, same pricing as anywhere else. They made a great Negroni which you can’t really mess up. Friendly staff but they will not put up with pushy tourists & rude guests, so be nice! Always busy & cash only

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn’t realise this was only a bar and not a restaurant after an impromptu stop in here today with my partner. That’s on us though. Basically don’t stop in here expecting any more than bar snacks, antipasto platters and basic bruschetta.
Really what you’re paying for here is the view, which is very nice.
I agree with some of the other reviews in that the bruschetta here is very basic. When I saw it being brought over to another table it really did just look like sliced white bread with tomato on top.
When we got ours I could see that the bread is at least a bit more crusty than that, and has a slight crunch to it, but it’s still pretty basic.
The cocktails were nice and the staff were friendly and informative.
Personally after eating and drinking here this time, I wouldn’t come back as there are better options in Riomaggiore once you’ve seen the view from La Conchiglia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were 4 adults and 2 kids, we wanted to sit and have a drink and an ice cream for the kids. We asked if there is a table and the reply of the impolite lady was we could sit only for 10 minutes.
I couldn't believe my ears when my friend came back to tell me this, so I went to ask again myself. The second time she said we could stay for 15 mins!
So, in 5 Terre where they have thousands of visitors every year, store owners don't care about being polite and offer good quality services. If you don't sit, someone else will. Nice!!!!
Of course, during Covid times, when there were only italians who could visit the area, the attitude was a lot different! Now they're back to being arrogant again.
I would recommend you to go somewhere else to have a drink or aperitivo. 1 star because I can't give 0.
