★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small but very beautiful exhibition of musical instruments from another era. Harpsichords, clavichords and harps together with other strings and woodwind instruments. A number of ancient music documents complete this fine collection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You may not know this, but a section is dedicated to padre martini, who was Mozart’s and Bach’s first born’s teacher.
There are a lot of amazing things to see including some stuff related to Mozart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting museum but lacking in presentation and variety of instruments. With everything behind highly reflective glass it is hard to see the instruments or take any photos. I think the Museum of San Colombano is far more interesting and much better presented.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful museum of music, where you can see instruments in a palazzo with frescoes. The place is gorgeous, with events worth watching out for. A must-see curiosity is Mozart's wrong test. He applied to the conservatory in Bologna, but got the test wrong. Realizing his genius, they let him take it again, and you can see the wrong one here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somewhat disappointing museum of music in the historic centre of Bologna. About 6 rooms with various instruments and sheet music from bygone centuries. While there were some interesting items here, information in English was thun on the ground. There is an app which works in various museums in Bologna, but sadly it's a great idea poorly implemented.
