Appartenente ad un’importante famiglia, i Manzoli, che per secoli l’abitò ampliandolo e modificandone gradualmente l’aspetto.
A metà del ‘700 passò al conte Malvasia che nel 1760 commissionò a F.Tadolini il progetto per la nuova facciata in stile neopalladiano che possiamo ammirare oggi.
Nel voltone a sinistra della facciata si può notare il mascherone, dal quale fuoriusciva vino per la gioia dei popolani in feste od occasioni speciali.

Belonging to an important family, the Manzoli family, who for centuries lived there, enlarging it and gradually changing its appearance.
In the mid-1700s it passed to Count Malvasia who in 1760 commissioned F. Tadolini to design the new neo-Palladian facade that we can admire today.
In the vault on the left of the facade you can see the mask, from which wine poured out for the joy of the common people at parties or special occasions.

Quando anticamente a palazzo Malvasia si teneva un'importante ricevimento o quando qualcuno della famiglia veniva eletto a una carica importante, dalla bocca del mascherone veniva fatto uscire vino in abbondanza, come da una fontana, cosicché anche il popolo, godesse dell'evento
