★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A geological curiosity 5 meters one side and 3 the other .. actually not much to see. It is a section of a lava vein. Of course if you visit Etna park you should see this as it is by the road. Takes 15 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lava cave accessible from the edge of the tarmac, continuing under the road. Helmet and light are necessary, as is pitch black and rocks are poking out. Not much to see, sadly, but the land field on the opposite side of the road is we interesting. It is easy to visualize where the cafe used to run. Nice pit stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very small entrance just near the roadway. You need to be fit and dare to do some physical challenges. It's not so difficult, even someone like me who barely hit the gym can do it. What you need is a good pair of shoes, flashlight and helmet. It can be very slippery too in some parts. When we were there the cave was still under construction otherwise people can still go 1km further into the cave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the only Lava Cave you could actually go in and experience in Mt Etna area. It was left by the former lava tube and has different layers of lava level and shelving within. Very interesting to see how the volcano erupted from underneath. Definitely recommend to visit here with a knowledgeable local guide or tour.
