Not helpful at all. I regret my choice in not using a better known car hire company. Asked for a diesel mark up which was not in the contract. Forced to extra insurance with threatening that otherwise I will charge you for diesel. So not ethical, borderline theft. Asked for 35 euros for a child booster rental when purchase price is 10 euros... I don’t think they deserve to be called β€œcorporate”.

SCAM SCAM SCAM The customers service is horrendous. The staffs are rude and disrespectful. The lady who name is Jessica was very disrespect. Please please please avoid those scam gays, This company is just a scam. I would give 0 star if this option was possible. I rented a car for 3 days from this company and when I returned, they charged me € 45 for cleaning fee, they just want to charge you for no reason. The worst experience by far I have ever had with a car rental agency, no thank you ! SCAM

Worst experience ever. Don't buy it in a hurry. They don't take debit card or amex. The only way around is to buy a massive insurance that costs more than the car rental itself (we already have insurace). We only booked online 3 hours ago but can't cancel as not refundable and the call centre doesn't work on weekends. Avoid.

We picked up our car on the evening of Feb 10th. The friendly girl at the desk explained terms clearly and was very helpful in general. The car was a bit smaller than the model shown at the time of booking but big enough to fit us and the luggage. It was very clean and in perfect shape. Our experience with you was great. Thank you!

My partner hired a car on 24 Sept 2018 and had her own EDW insurance. As usual they stop an amount on a credit cars (some Β£953) on the understanding its only if there is some issue with the car upon return. The car was returned to Gold Car at Verona on 1 October fully fuelled and was inspected by staff and agreed that the car had been returned withut any issues. On 7 October, I find that the Β£953 deposit has been taken from my credit card some 13 days after the initial collection of the car and 6 days after return of the car!! There is no explanation as to why this has been taken from my credit card especially as it is almost a week after return of the car in undamaged condition. Clearly, either this deposit needs to be returned forthwith or an explanation of why they have taken this amount, with supporting evidence is required. Not impressed by this. It makes one wonder if my credit card details have been compromised and that this is a fraudulent transaction by Gold Car?

Got charged Β£40 for leaving the tank full (we had literally been to the petrol station 5 minutes away and given it a full tank) when the guy reassured us it would be okay and we would get our deposit back but refused to see the tank when we offered, no such thing happened. We were also charged another Β£40 for a claim of a ticket, however they would not send us the proof of ticket, and the Β£40 was apparently just for administration. In general a lying company, months later they are still taking money, do not recommend.

If I could give less than 5 stars, I would do it! The WORST RENTAL CAR that I've ever seen! They force you to pay the completely car insurance (around 20 euro per day) and if you refuse to make it, they say that your credit card is invalid. So they don't give you any other option for payment, and then you loose all your reservation (and should pay for it!!)...The employees are also terrible, don't care about you and don't try to solve 'your' problem, which in fact is a problem that Gold Car (or its own employees) creates for you. STAY FAR FAR AWAY if you don't want to have a headache!!! This company should broke!

Have reported this company to the authorities. We were attempted to be charged a late fee, after waiting an hour in the queue (with 2 people in front of us), we were then told our original online reservation was not valid after the late check in time, and the new fee would be 3 times as much. Additional insurance was extra, online reservation price circa 180 euros, we ended up paying over 500 euros, but had no option as while we were waiting, all the other car rental desks had closed. We were given the option to come back the next day, during normal hours, to receive the online reservation price; Which we couldn't do, as we had excursions booked already. The people before and after us in the queue, were cursing very loudly in Italian, so i suspect, they were also ripped off, maybe even worse than us; We only put the two together once we had also been ripped off. The worst part is that, the rental desk is in the main airport, so the last place you would expect to be scammed, and the lady behind the counter seemed quite immune to taking advantage of unsuspecting clients one after the other; so there must be a commission based arrangement in place. Overall i am still stunned, and hope this company is brought to justice.
