- Staff unfriendly. - Nobody at the drop-off office for 30 minutes. - Car wasn't clean, some damages weren't reported on the agreement. We spent a lot of time getting that sorted since member staff wasn't keen to go to the car with us and help. - Unclear about what we signing for and who to contact if there is something wrong with the car. + Competitive price (cheapest company at the time of rental).

I got a smaller car than booked and staff insisted that it was in the same class. The car was rather dirty and there was no water in the windscreen wiping thing. The gas was not full. And returning the car was slow and bureaucratic. And over 1000€ deposit. I will definitely not use Autovia/Ecocar again. I have since been in touch with their customer service and was told that my claims were not true. After many emails back and forth they admitted that at least some of the claims may be true and offered 24€ compensation. When I told them that I was bit happy with the services in general and with the way my concerns have been addressed and that I wanted this to be escalated, they simply stopped replying. Look at other reviews left on trustpilot.

Received car (blue Kia Rio - license plate number: FN799NG ) with extreme amount of damages. On every side of the car; dents, scratches etc. impossible to do a good check of damages during check in. A week after return of the car we were accounted for a rubber deposit β€˜damage’ on the tailgate. According Autovia it is a scratch. Repair cost 275 euro’s!!!!!! After several questions about the damage no reply to any mail. Autovia is very fast in taking deposit from my creditcard but lazy in replying to questions of the customer. So be aware with the with Autovia. The rental price looks cheap but Autovia make profit on accounting customers for damages with abnormal repair prices.

Avoid this car rental! They tricked and exploited us in several ways, not signing the paperwork when they got back the car (in perfect condition), charging more than agreed on, and using our credit card for further debiting. Trickster methods and crooked behaviour - I’d rather crawl my way than ever again interacting with Autovia.

When we rented the car, the person at the desk, Paula, told us that as a special offer we could bring back the car at any date on the last day of our rental. In the contract it said 10am, we double (even triple) checked with her if it’s really okay to bring it back later. In the end we had to pay for an additional day. We weren’t treated very friendly (by another employee, not Paula) when we tried to explain the problem. Very poor customer service! Definitely don’t recommend.

The woman on the desk was very rude. We had paid for the car in full and taken out insurance when we booked through Rental cars. It took over an hour to get our car as she repeatedly tried to insist we had to pay extra 250euros for their insurance. I had to make several calls to Rental cars and ask them to speak to her before she released the car. There was no apology and she was clearly annoyed. Eventually we got our car - it was damaged all over, scratches, missing wing mirror, bumps and interior dirty with bits hanging off. We took the car as we were so tired by this point. When we returned the car we were told all was fine and our damage deposit was refunded within a few days. However, 2 weeks later we were sent a photo of a β€œscratch” that was apparently on the bumper. This wasn’t there when we returned it!! And it appears they have kept my debit card details and since taken Β£357 from my bank account without any authorisation. Avoid this company - terrible service, rude staff and rip off merchants

Beautifull car, but 3 months later an amounth of 60 EUR was credited from my account? Why? I want my money back!

Simply avoid 1. They do a paper copy of your credit card, which is illegal 2. Contactless payment for the refundable deposit is not allowed (because they want to copy your card) 3. They force you to buy their insurance if you don't agree to copy your credit card - extra cost of at least 140€ Block your credit card immediately after coming back home if you don't want your money to be stolen
