The worst car rental EVER. they gave us a car that have barely brakes. After calling 6 times we had to come back to the airport. No apology, and a got a worse car. Check your f&@€ cars, you have put us in risk and you don’t seem to care. Shame on you GOLDCAR MALPENSA.

This company is very bad. I made a mistake because I wasn't very responsible for choosing from where to hire a car. So I paid 360 euros for a car rental for a week, and of course, I paid in advance. I came to their office and showed a card (MasterCard Debit card). They refused to take the card because it was not a credit card. So I called the bank, and they explained that my card was standard and the company could reserve money from it. The administrator said that this is my problem and I will not get a car. I asked what I should do, and maybe there were other options. They said: "This is your problem". I asked maybe they could give me my money back because I need to rent a car from somewhere else. They said that I will not get my money back, and I needed to call their support. THEN I showed my business card (debit also, but with "raised" numbers on the card), and they said they could accept my card. I explained to them that this card is not credit, but they said that my business card is credit, and they accepted my card :D The bad thing is that I had to wait more than one hour, and in the end, they took my another card instead of taking my debit card at the beginning. I know that people should read all payment rules, etc., but company staff should help people, not just say "this is your problem". I don't know if this company knows that i am not the first person with this problem. The same problem had one more couple next to me. So it is so hard to find a solution for people who don't have credit cards? Of course, it is good for the company because they took the money and don't need to give a car. But I don't know if it is normal to do like this in 2021...

Goldcar are scam artists, you'll be much better off going to any other car rental company in Malpensa airport. After booking a people carrier with insurance we went to pick up the vehicle. These "Goldcar" scammers insisted on adding on their fully comprehensive insurance policy cost on top of what we already paid. We tried to explain and showed them our booking details but the rude staff did not show any understanding. if we'd cancelled they told us we would not get a refund. They also said the vehicle is covered for toll and border crossing but they eventually added on all of these charges plus their staff admin fees on top. Ended up paying much much more than their original advertised hire fee. Avoid this horrible scammer outfit.

Booked a 10-day rental with these folks starting 12/25/2021. First, they said my driver license wasn’t valid. (It is valid. I have a consular renewal on my license they didn’t know how to read). After calling corporate and a supervisor, they finally accepted my license. Then, they said my credit card, a Mastercard, wasn’t a credit card. This was the same credit card I’ve been using for 10+ years and used to pre-pay the rental in full. But no, according to “their system” it wasn’t a credit card. (Also, they don’t accept American Express, Discover, or the Goldman Sachs Mastercard with Apple). They left me stranded. I rented a last-minute car with Hertz, for much more money. Zero problems with my license or card. Avoid them. You have many better option on that floor—Enterprise, Sicily by Car, Hertz, etc.

Worst car rental company ever!! I have used it twice in Italy so i know. They charged me a 55 euro fine management fee for entering a limited traffic zone but they didn’t even manage the fine with the authorities. They will make every effort they can in order to overcharge you with expenses after the initial booking. I will never hire a car from them again.

**Spend your money elsewhere to avoid SCAM tactics and RUDE staff** Christmas day, 2021: The agent at the counter immediately became rude once we declined to buy their extra insurance. I understand this is how they make extra money, but we have the right to decline any extra charges, especially since we prepaid our booking. I took a picture of the credit card terminal authorizing an accidental deposit hold of 950 EUR. I take pictures because it is often a scam of rental car agencies to overcharge you even if they do provide paper receipts. After this, the agent at counter was extremely rude and yelled at me for taking a picture of the credit card terminal. Rudely shouting "LOOK I SPEAK ENGLISH LIKE YOU, NO PICTURES, I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A RECEIPT!" What he didn't understand is while I might not look Italian, I do speak fluent Italian (and I of course did not share that info with him). Taking photos of something I am being charged PROTECTS me in the case of a potential overcharge that a receipt does not list. If there is nothing to hide, then why did he become so rude while yelling and trying to cover the terminal up with his hand to prevent me from taking a photo? The amount of cursing and unprofessionalism in Italian from him was unbelievable. I do not expect 100% perfect customer service, but I believe this man was the rudest Italian I have ever met - I can only imagine a new tourist's experience with such a horrible person. Italians are normally friendly, helpful, and funny people. I am sorry if you meet such a person in Italy. DISGRAZIA! The car was visibly damaged in multiple places upon pickup. Otherwise no issues. I made certain to take multiple photos in various angles. Drop off: Take pictures of your car upon arrival and departure. They will later try to blame you for every damage on the car. They also sneakily do not provide you with a previous damaged car list during check in - make sure you ask for this in advance. I saw the same man try to blame multiple people for damages until they showed him photos of the car taken during pickup. His advice was "you have to tell us about the damages on the car before you drive off." Do yourself a favor, pay more for a better agency. Google Reviews of this agency confirm their tactics.

Please, avoid this company! We have booked 2 cars: on my and my wife's name. We were charged extra charge, just because my wife was 1 minute late after their "working hours (20:01)"! Although I was at the rental office way before 20:00 and was able to handle the order! And although our plane was late for more than for 1 hour! There is no customer service in this company, just a scheme to rip you off at any chance. Not the first, but the last time we choose Goldcar! ?

Please avoid this car rental in Malpensa , airport Milan. We hired a car on line as they had a very good advertisement and really cheap compared to others, but when we got there , there are hidden charges, like a full insurance for 3 days hire is £174.00 and a deposit of £100 which they said to be refunded if you bring back the car fulk tank. But when we returned the car at 7:56 am a rude guy said they only open at 08:00 am which is only 4 minutes the opening time. When I asked how can I claim for my deposit he rudely with a raised voice said it will not be refunded till 3 weeks. ☹️Please as a piece of advice for anyone who is looking or planning to hire a car in Milan, please do not have this company they are scam, better choose a company which might charge you more but everything is inclusive.
