★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Juturna-Quelle entsprang am Fuße des Palatin. Sie ist nach der latinischen Quellnymphe Juturna benannt. Ihr Wasser wurde als heilbringend verehrt. Im Jahre 117 v. Chr. wurde darum auf dem Campus Martius ein Becken errichtet und mit Statuen versehen.Die Quelle bildete mit dem Dioskuren-Tempel eine Einheit. Am 11. Januar wurde zu Ehren der Quellnymphe ein altrömisches Fest jährlich gefeiert, welches sie als Juturnalien bezeichneten.
The Juturna spring rises at the foot of the Palatine Hill. It is named after the Latin spring nymph Juturna. Their water was revered as beneficial. In 117 BC A basin was therefore built on the Martius campus and decorated with statues. The spring formed a unit with the Dioscuri temple. On January 11th, an ancient Roman festival was celebrated annually in honor of the spring nymph, which they called Juturnalien.

E’ arrivata ai tempi nostri in buone condizioni, infatti sono visibili:
•La vasca, forma quadrata, rivestita in marmo (nei tempi antichi al centro vi era una statua,
•Il pozzo marmoreo
•L’edicola sacra con l’iscrizione dedicata a Giuturna.
The Fonte di Giuturna is one of the oldest in Rome, dedicated to the nymph of Lazio, legend has it that Jupiter who I love Giuturna, transformed it into a fountain of eternal youth.
It has reached our times in good condition, in fact the following are visible:
• The square shaped basin, covered in marble (in ancient times there was a statue in the center,
• The marble well
• The sacred shrine with the inscription dedicated to Juturna.
