★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place. Poorly organised. Would highly recommend to think ahead and go early since queues are quite long and tedious. If you book a ticket, you are still required to queue only with a skip the line you can go ahead without waiting. The ticket for the 3 sites (all included in price) can be used over two days but once used this cannot be used again for the same site. When going to visit the other two sites after visiting the Coloseum, there is another queue.
Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum are particularly beautiful, but be prepared to walk and plan to have ample time to view the place properly as there is much to see.
Tickets are fairly cheap at €12 and people between 18-25 enter at a reduced prices of €2.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used Air BnB to acquire a guide to walk around this piece of history. It changed the experience from a bunch of ruins to a journey into ancient times with good explanations and pictures to help your imagination. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never thought id appreciate history as much as i did here. But once again, i highly recommend getting a tour guide so you can get a vivid picture painted in your head as to what happened where. Otherwise all you can do is speculate as you look at rocks and mostly destroyed buildings. PS don't forget to buy your selfie sticks lmao

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of potential but managed by a bunch of idiots. What the hell is this. Extra passes? Reservations online in advance? No descriptions, didnt get one clue of what it once looked like. Skipped the colosseum was happy to be out of this maze of old bricks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What more can be said about the ancient city of Rome about the variety of iconic monuments it has to offer? So to say the obvious when it comes to the wonder of the world among the leading and unique of its kind, it is something not to be missed and although the place is touristy and intensely crowded it is still one of the places that seems to be a must see in life.
