The sculptures and construction look very well preserved and it shows power.
It is closed for the public bu you can still appreciate the views from near and far.

β β β β β Beautiful square and views. Come up the adjacent road for wheelchair access. The Michelangelo stairs are neat but too steep for a chair.

β β β β β Open square at the top of a hill overlooking the Forum Romano. Coming from the Forum Romano, it is a bit of a climb to get to the square but the Capitoline Museum is also there so you can make the visit to the square the beginning of the visit to the museum. Beautiful vistas on the square, with rich architecture.

β β β β β Square designed by Michelangelo. Impressive, but not very big. Easy to get there, as it's situated right next to all other tourist attactions. Entrance to the Capitolio museum is also there. Worth a visit, however can be quite crowded. You need to pass the stairs to get there.

β β β β β This beautiful square designed by Michelangelo deserves a visit on its own. Although the entrance to the museums is also at this square, the square alone is worth seeing as it is very pretty.
