β β β β β Such a cool spot. It was bigger and cooler than expected, not crowded at all, pretty quick to go through. Iβm glad we made the stop here.

β β β β β Magnificent place displays the engineering thought and joie de vivre of ancient romans! Now spectacular ruins, some walls are more than 20 m height, splendid baths over 2000 years ago. Some people say here it is better with VR headset. No VR goggles in 2021 because of the pandemic, but you really donβt need them if you have just a bit of imagination. Tickets were 8eur per person at the time of visiting (November 2021). It is really nothing compared to other historical landmarksβ entry price. Totally worth the detour!

β β β β β I went on a night tour. Mostly in Italian but the guide had some basic English skills. It's helpful if you read up on this place before you go. Very limited info during the semi guided tour . It would help you get your bearings if you study the map online for a bit. Majority of they have dug up here is in the archeological museum in Naples. There won't be any big reveals when you see it in person it will just bring info you got online to life somewhat.

β β β β β Worth the 8 euros for entry, especially if the weather is nice. You can take a break in the outer garden and then go into the actual baths which are huge. It's a nice refuge from the busy city as few tourists visit.

β β β β β We had a great experience at the baths of Caracalla. The structure is much bigger than expected and awe-inspiring. Not a lot of people were visiting at the time so it's a breath of fresh air after the crowded, more popular sights of Rome.
